Venus is one of the only two Full-fledged benefic planets as per Vedic Astrology, Jupiter being the other one.

Venus (Shukra) is closely connected with Love, Spouse,  Luxuries, beauty, music, fine arts, Diamond and Silver and many other good and bad aspects of life (karakatatva).

Astronomically,  close to Sun and Earth, Venus stays in a Rasi (Sign) for almost a month.

Well placed or strong Venus gives very good results for  a native. Afflicted Venus can really play truant in testing people. Example: Those who have afflicted Venus can expect sufferings around Renal problems, Reproductive organs, Spouse, Partners etc.

The general belief amongst common men is that Shukra Dasa is a period of fortunes and luxurious living.  This statement however has to be read with caution for two reasons:

1) How can Shukra Dasa be uniformly outstanding for all ? If Venus is well placed in the native's horoscope then Shukra Dasa can be expected to be good. If not, this Dasa period can ruin people. Afterall Shukra's holy duty is not to dole out to all and sundry but only to those who deserve.

2) Shukra Dasa being the longest period (20 years) it is not possible to expect that this period to be great throughout. Even for those whose Venus is well placed, there could be testing periods.

In a broad sense, Venus is a Grade - 1 benefic and can be expected to shower positive results to natives.

ஜோதிடத்தின் படி,  முழுநேர நன்மை பயக்கும் கிரகங்களில் வீனஸ் ஒன்றாகும். மறறொன்று குரு (ஜூபிடர்)

வெள்ளி (சுக்கிரன்)  காதல்,, மனைவி, ஆடம்பரங்கள், அழகு, இசை, நுண்கலைகள், டயமண்ட் , வெள்ளி போன்ற பல நல்ல அம்சங்களுடனும் மற்றும் வாழ்க்கையின் பல  கெட்ட அம்சங்கள் ஆகியவற்றோடு இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

திரைத்துறை, விளம்பரம், சங்கீதம்  போன்ற துறைகளைச்  சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு பொதுவாக சுக்கிரன் நன்கு அமர்ந்திருப்பார்.


சூரியன் மற்றும் பூமிக்கு நெருங்கிய கிரகமான  வீனஸ் கிட்டத்தட்ட ஒரு மாதம் ராசியில்  இருக்கும்.

நன்கு அமைந்த  அல்லது வலுவான சுக்கிரன்  நல்ல பலன்களை கொடுக்கிறது. பாதிக்கப்பட்ட சுக்கிரன்  மக்களை பெருமளவு சோதிக்கலாம்.  உதாரணம்: சுக்கிரன்பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஜாதகர்கள்  சிறுநீரக பிரச்சினைகள், இனப்பெருக்க உறுப்புகள், வாழ்க்கைத் துணை, பங்குதாரர்கள் போன்ற விஷயங்களில்  துயரங்களை எதிர்பார்க்கலாம்.

 மனிதர்களிடையே உள்ள பொதுவான நம்பிக்கை, சுக்ர தசை  என்பது அதிர்ஷ்ட மற்றும் ஆடம்பரமான வாழ்வு காலம் என்பதாகும். இதை கண்ணை மூடிக்கொண்டு எதிர்பார்க்கக்கூடாது .  இந்த கருத்து  இரண்டு காரணங்களுக்காக எச்சரிக்கையுடன் பார்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்:

1)சுக்ர தசை அனைவருக்கும் ஒரே மாதிரி இருக்க முடியுமா? சுக்கிரன் ஜாதகத்தில்  நன்கு அமர்ந்து  இருந்தால், சுக்கிரதசை  நல்லபடியாக  இருக்க முடியும். இல்லையெனில், இந்த தசா காலம் மக்கள் ஒரேயடியாக அழிக்க முடியும்.  ஒன்று போல எல்லா ஜாதகருக்கும் அள்ளி வழங்க அவரென்ன தானதர்மமா செய்கிறார். அவருக்கென்று இறைவன் வகுத்த கடமை என்று ஒன்று இருக்கிறதல்லவா !

2) சுக்ர தசை 20 ஆண்டுகள். மற்ற  எல்லா கிரகங்களின் காலங்களைவிட  அதிகமாகும்., முழு 20 வருடங்களும் ஒன்று போல  ஓகோ  என்று உயர்த்துமா என்ன ?  சுக்கிரன் நன்கு அமைந்த ஜாதகருக்கு கூட நடுவே நடுவே (மற்ற கிரகங்களின் நிலையைப்பொறுத்து கஷ்டமாக அமையலாம்)  சுக்கிரன் மோசமாக அமைந்து, முற்றிலும் நிர்மூலமானவர்களும் உண்டு.
