With NDA/BJP projected to return to power hands down, UPA may need support from people like us in helping them come out with lame excuses to hide their loss. My democratic duty to come out with arguments in favour of UPA.
1) EVMs were programmed to help BJP in the constituencies they won. However, UPA's win cannot be attributed to EVM hacking.
2) (Mother of all excuses) Press any button in the EVM, the vote will go for Lotus.
3) Stretching the elections to several phases and over two months, gave undue advantage to NDA.
4) The constituencies where UPA lost , the sun was too hot for the UPA supporters to vote. UPA voters who used an umbrella while in the hot sun, were denied voting, as Umbrella represented an independent candidate's symbol.
5) In Muslim dominated constituencies the EC deliberately chose the fasting month of Ramadan, so that the Muslim brethren will have no energy to queue up at the polling booths and vote for UPA. (However it is to be forgotten that Voters in Gujarat have consistently voted for Modi)
6) While UPA voters were denied votes, NDA voters were allowed multiple votes. In some cases it was witnessed that some voters had voted 20 times, evidenced by Indelible ink in their ten fingers as well as ten toes.
7) In Bengal every visit of Amit shah resulted in violence for which only BJP is to be blamed. It is immaterial that each one of Amit shah's rallies in other states were peaceful.
8) Vigilant central protection forces denied booth capturing, thereby denying our dues. If elections were held on a single day throughout the country, such forces could not have effectively controlled us. (Sob...Sob)
9)Pre-election Opinion Polls sponsored by our party should have been used to decide strength in the Parliament. By that way precious resources could have been saved by way of election expenses.
10)We have few more excuses but the throat is choking. If we can't win despite teaming and scheming, casting aspersions without basis on the ruling party, in 2024 we will be in single digits.
( The above is not to discredit the EC. EC deserves appreciation for smooth conduct of elections as in previous occasions)
