Sadly, his own spineless colleagues bent backwards to deny him the honour he deserved. When his body was brought to the Congress headquarters for the public to pay the last respects, apparently, not only permission was denied, but the doors of the Congress HQ were locked !
A person who preferred to speak less, one of his replies to a news reporter on why no action was taken on the Babri Masjid subject, was epic. His mercurial reply was "Not taking an action, is an action by itself" !
